Postcard Snap Packs

Also Available: 8.5x11 snap pack | 8.5x14 snap pack

PRODUCT DETAILS

This snap pack is a double postcard, which is a single sheet of 8.5" high by 6" wide paper that is folded in half to create a postcard of 6" wide by 4.25" high and mailed without an envelope. This mailer is sealed using glue on the bottom edge; left and right edges are left open. The recipient opens the mail piece by tearing off the perforated and marked bottom edge. These cards are commonly used when you like the recipient to return one of the cards back to you, such as a survey or you try cover the content printed in the inside. Note that this double postcard is not completely secure, since the two sides are open and you can see the inside if you bend the sheets. These forms can be printed in color or B&W including graphics, but these forms are not the ideal choice if you plan to use full color photographs. No additional inserts (e.g. business cards) can be included with this form. You can have mail merge on one or both sides.

For high-volume jobs (+20,000 pieces) we suggest that you contact us first. Sometimes we can reduce your cost by printing a portion of your forms on an offset press. We also have many other types and sizes of snap packs available that are not shown in our site, please contact us for such jobs.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Paper type: 28 LB white sheets.
  • Sheet size: Open unsealed size is 8.5" high by 6" wide including the edges that will be torn off by the recipient, therefore the net space available is 7.5" high by 6" wide. Each one of the two panels is 3.75" high by 6" wide. Please download the template below to insure correct sizing.
  • Bleed: You can print all the way up to the perforation lines at the bottom or 0.25" away from the edges of the paper. Anything printed pass the perforation line won't be seen by your recipient, since these edges will not separate once the form is sealed and these edges are discarded. We can print full bleed snap packs on an offset press, please contact us if you require such forms.
  • Fold options: Half or V fold.

USPS RESTRICTION

6.2.9 Double Cards, see USPS DMM here

A double card (a double stamped card or double postcard) consists of two attached cards, one of which is designed to be detached by the recipient and returned by mail as a single card. Double cards are subject to these standards:
  • The reply half of a double card must be used for reply only and may not be used to convey a message to the original addressee or to send statements of account. The reply half may be formatted for response purposes (e.g., contain blocks for completion by the addressee).
  • A double card must be folded before mailing and prepared so that the address on the reply half is on the inside when the double card is originally mailed. The address side of the reply half may be prepared as Business Reply Mail, Courtesy Reply Mail, meter reply mail, or as a merchandise return service label.
  • Plain stickers, seals, or a single wire stitch (staple) may be used to fasten the open edge at the top or bottom once the card is folded if affixed so that the inner surfaces of the cards can be readily examined. Fasteners must be affixed according to the applicable preparation requirements for the price claimed. Any sealing on the left and right sides of the cards, no matter the sealing process used, is not permitted.
  • The first half of a double card must be detached when the reply half is mailed for return.

TEMPLATES

We recommend that you lay out your artwork on top of the PDF templates for accuracy but do NOT make the template part of your design or it will be printed. You should also print your final design on a single sheet of paper on both sides and fold accordingly to make sure that the orientation of all the panels is as you expect. If you are printing make sure that your "page scaling" in the PDF printer driver is set to "none" and not to "Fit to printable area", so your printed form is not reduced in size.
